COVID-19 | Change to 2020 Collection Announcement
For the first time in 18 years, we are taking a short ‘pause’ on our collection activities. COVID-19 has impacted many facets of our lives…Glam Girls is experiencing challenges as well. Our primary donation recipient, the Houston Area Women’s Center, is only taking limited donations at this time. Anything we have collected will be delivered directly to them. However, we will not be preparing our usual Glam Girls bags filled with makeup and toiletries this year. So, if you have things to donate this year, we encourage you to donate directly to non-profits in need such as Houston Food Bank, Star of Hope or other facilities. We all look forward to collecting once again next year!
About Glam Girls
Glam Girls is a non-profit organization committed to helping women in transit from domestic violence situations. Now in its 20th year of operation in 2020, the Glam Girls collects cosmetic and toiletry items for donation to the women of the Houston Area Women's Center (HAWC). The Glam Girls currently prepare holiday gift bags for more than 200+ women currently under assistance from HAWC. We hope you’ll join our cause to help the light shine for these very worthy women!
The items collected are given as gifts—we cannot accept even slightly used cosmetics or toiletries. Collections begin in October.
